Hi, I'm Roxz! I'm the furry face behind Roxz’s Resources & Awareness, Inc. Alongside my brother and trusty sidekick, Bruno, we’re dedicated to educating people about Pit Bull-type dogs. We’re lucky to have an incredible team of humans who help us spread our mission and support families in need.

Our mom, Vicky, has been a passionate advocate in the rescue community for years. She saw a significant need for assistance, including free pet food and supplies, as well as resources for animal care. She also recognized the importance of educating people about Pit Bull-type dogs, combating breed discrimination, understanding the value of spaying/neutering, and supporting the adoption and fostering of special needs pets and bonded pairs, among other vital topics.

The Inspiration!

When we adopted Roxz, we didn’t realize she had birth defects affecting her hips, pelvis, and knees. Given her status as a Pit Bull-type dog combined with these issues, she likely wouldn’t have made it out of the shelter. Unfortunately, many dogs like her are overlooked simply because they are Pit Bull-type dogs or mixed with one.

We hope that through increased education, people will share what they’ve learned and help change perceptions. Our goal is to ensure that Pit Bull-type dogs are not overlooked in shelters and rescues, and that more people will open their homes and hearts to fostering or adopting special needs animals.

The Supporter!

Bruno is a rescue who, as we like to say, we "foster won" with! When we first took him in, he was underweight and ill, but it was a privilege to help him become the wonderful dog he is today. As he started to recover, it became clear that he would be a permanent member of our family. Bruno understands his sister's disabilities and, on tough days, he lovingly snuggles with her and provides the care she needs.
